NEM-O has multiple meanings, like so many things in life. The letters of NEM-O stand for Nathalie, Eva, and Marie, the founders, and the O for “onderzoek”, or “assessment” in English; the main goal of the practice. The word Nemo itself is Latin for ‘nobody’. This refers to the fact that who we are isn’t actually that important in your process, but who you are is. We are merely a temporary link to help you move forward and regain your strength. Finally, Nemo also subtly refers to the brave little fish from the film of the same name, a metaphor for an important quest in life.
For our logo, we chose an American moon moth, better known as the ‘luna moth’. This symbolizes transformation, new beginnings, the search for truth and knowledge, and so much more. Psychodiagnostics is like putting together a puzzle. The puzzle piece, therefore, represents the psychodiagnostic process.
